Peel-and-Stick Wallpaper Installation Guide

Our peel-and-stick wallpaper is PVC-free, eco-conscious, and crafted for a smooth, stress-free experience. Each panel arrives pre-measured with a straight match, meaning no overlap, no guesswork, just clean lines and quiet beauty.

Tools You’ll Need

Wallpaper smoother or plastic spatula
Utility knife with fresh blades
Tape measure and level
Step ladder
Pencil
Clean, dry cloth

Before You Begin

When your panels arrive, unroll each one and lay it flat for at least six hours, gently weighting the ends.

This allows the material to relax, helping it sit against the wall with ease.

Check your design and lengths before starting.

Step-by-Step Installation

1. Mark a Starting Line

Walls are rarely perfectly straight.

Use a level to draw a vertical guideline. This will be your anchor.

Begin here, not in the corner, for the most seamless result.

2. Position the First Panel

Peel back 10–12 inches of the backing paper.

Align the top of the panel directly with the ceiling (no overhang needed).

Let it rest gently in place before smoothing.

3. Smooth and Apply

Work slowly.

Peel the backing a little at a time, smoothing from the center outward to release any air pockets.

A soft, steady pace creates the cleanest finish.

4. Trim at the Skirting Board

Once the panel is fully applied, trim carefully along the skirting board with a sharp blade.

Replace blades often for crisp, clean cuts.

5. Hang Remaining Panels

Place each new panel directly edge-to-edge. Our straight match ensures the pattern aligns naturally.

Press and smooth as you go, lifting gently if you need to reposition.

6. Settle and Re-Smooth

After 1–2 days, return with a clean, dry cloth.

Gently smooth down the surface again, paying special attention to seams and edges.

This helps the adhesive bond for long-lasting results.

Working Around Sockets & Switches

For safety, turn off power at the breaker before beginning.

Remove any switch plates or outlet covers.

Hang the wallpaper over the opening, then cut a neat “X” shape over the socket area.

Trim slowly to the inner edge, then replace the cover plate for a tidy finish.

Pro Tips

Move with intention and steady hands.

If the wallpaper sticks to itself, ease it apart without stretching.

Keep extra pieces for future touch-ups.

Wallpaper Care

A little gentle care will help your wallpaper stay beautiful for years to come.

Dust lightly with a dry microfiber cloth whenever needed.

Spot-clean gently using a soft, damp cloth. Avoid scrubbing or soaking the surface.

Protect from moisture — in humid rooms, ensure good ventilation to protect longevity.

Check seams occasionally and smooth them lightly with clean hands if they ever lift.

Avoid harsh cleaners, chemicals, and abrasive tools, as they can mark or weaken the surface.

Calm, occasional upkeep is all that’s needed to keep the texture, colour, and finish looking fresh.

Next Guide: Removal

When the time comes for a refresh, removing your wallpaper is just as gentle as installing it.
