Before Installation
Our peel-and-stick and Non-pasted wallpapers have a luxurious thickness that can hide a multitude of flaws on surfaces.
Please consider these factors before choosing your wallpaper type and installation:
To help you make informed decisions about which wallpaper type to opt for, it's a good idea to purchase a sample first and install it in an inconspicuous area. This allows you to potential issues for your particular wall type before completing the entire installation.
Peel-and-Stick Installation
Unpack Your Huggleberry Hill Peel-and-Stick Wallpaper: When you receive your wallpaper delivery, carefully unpack the panels and recycle the packaging. Unroll the panels flat and allow an hour or two for them to uncurl which will make the installation process easier. If the panels need a little help staying flat on the floor, you can use clean, heavy items like books placed gently at either end.
Check Your Wall Texture: For the best results, we suggest sticking to smooth walls, as our wallpaper may not adhere properly on highly textured surfaces and the texture might show through the wallpaper.
Through our own testing, our peel-and-stick wallpaper adheres successfully on slightly textured surfaces like light orange-peel or light knock-down, with no texture showing through. Our non-pasted wallpaper ois only suitable for smooth walls. If you're unsure of your wall texture, text a sample of your chosen design first to ensure you get optimal results.
Prepare Your Walls: Before application of our wallpaper, ensure that all surfaces are flat and that there are no visible faults. Fill in any holes and smooth out any bumps so that the aesthetic of the wallpaper is not affected.
Rub down and clean your walls, especially those that are prone to soiling or grease. Remove any wall sockets and light switches.
Prime Your Walls: For best results and smoother installation and removal, always apply a wallpaper primer, especially on bare drywall. Wallpaper primers can be purchased from your local DIY store, and include items such as Roman PRO-977 Ultra Prime®.
Priming your walls before installation will ensure a smoother surface for the wallpaper to adhere to and helps in positioning and adhesion. As all walls and paint types are different, this step will provide the ideal surface to apply your wallpaper. It is an especially important step for renters as it drastically reduces the chances of any damage to walls on removal.

Install Your Wallpaper: Now let's make wallpapering your space a breeze:
1. Before you start, lay out the wallpaper panels to check their positioning. Use a pencil and a level to lightly draw a vertical line (plumb line) where you’ll begin hanging, and mark a line 1 inch (3 cm) from the corner for the first piece. Avoid making marks too dark to prevent them from showing through light-colored wallpaper.
2. Apply wallpaper paste evenly with a brush or roller to the area where the first two panels will go. For US customers, we recommend Roman PRO-880 Ultra Clear®, and for EU customers, Henkel Metylan Direct® or a similar adhesive. Don’t paste the whole wall at once to avoid the paste drying before hanging the paper. If glue gets on the wallpaper, clean it off immediately with a damp cloth.
3. Position the first panel at the top of the wall, leaving about half an inch at the top and bottom for trimming. Smooth out any air bubbles using a smoothing tool, working from top to bottom. Be careful not to let extra paste seep out, and wipe away any excess with a damp cloth. Avoid using rough tools like squeegees that can damage the wallpaper.
4. Continue hanging the remaining panels one at a time, aligning the seams without overlapping them. Use a seam roller for a smooth finish and proper adherence. Trim any extra wallpaper at the ceiling and skirting board using a ruler and a sharp utility knife.
5. Enjoy your beautifully wallpapered space!
Please note:
Once done, avoid drafts and changes in temperature or humidity for 24 hours to ensure the wallpaper sticks properly. Tip: To minimize wall damage, use a good quality wallpaper primer.

Caring for Your Wallpaper
1. Cleaning Marks
In most cases, our wallpapers can be cleaned with a soft, non-abrasive cloth or sponge that has been dampened with water. Make sure that all water is squeezed from the cloth or sponge and gently wipe the affected area until clean, applying minimal pressure.
In case of deeper stains, soapy water on a soft, non-abrasive sponge can be used. Gently wipe at the affected area, being sure not to rub with too much force so as not to damage the design.
2. Avoid Sources of Direct Water, Heat and Sunlight
We recommend that our wallpapers are for indoor use only. In order to avoid excessive fading over time, we don’t recommend installing our wallpaper in glass-roofed or glass-walled rooms which are prone to persistent direct sunlight.
Our wallpapers are suitable for use in the kitchen and bathroom as it can withstand humidity. Just make sure that all surfaces are clean and free of grease before application. We don’t recommend installing our wallpapers near sources of direct water, heat or open flame, such as the backsplash to a stovetop and sink or inside baths and showers.
